Background information

This project showcases the skills employed in creating an immersive visualisation of a piece of speculative architecture in the future, focusing on governance and the role of architecture.

Scenario Context

In 2025, tensions escalated after a limited nuclear attack in Ukraine. A global movement for peace and disarmament followed, and by 2073, the world prioritised cooperation, sustainability, and inclusivity. Governance shifted towards local government, emphasising transparency, citizen participation, and environmental protection.

Architectural Vision

The architectural vision combines mid-20th-century modernism, brutalism, parametric design, and computational architecture. Voronoi patterns provide symbolism, representing diversity united in the community's common dreams and aspirations. The seamless connection of the Voronoi cells emphasises collaboration and mutual support, creating an ever-changing dance of shadows and light.

Using cinema language techniques such as framing, camera movement and composition and incorporating architectural tangibles such as compression and release, spatial sequences, interplay of positive and negative spaces and proportion and scale the final product is an engaging and immersive visualisation that illustrates the qualities of the architecture through a narrative that transports the viewer into its time and space.
